I am going to change. I have been on Sparks people for 3 years. I have lost and I have gained. I have had great excuses for gaining, surgeries, being in a wheel chair. But the REAL REASON is that I am LAZY. I don't like to exercise. I find myself sitting for long periods just thinking and about nothing important. I also sit in front of a Computer to play a lot. It's not that I don't own a treadmill and I won a Sparks exercise video. I have lots of exercise videos. I spend time wishing I was ...
I spend time wishing I was young enough to look like them when I watch them. I get more gung-ho when I read my spark friends pages. So help me not be LAZY and get going. P.S. Whats the cure for uncontrollable chocolate-itis? I am open for help in this one. It is my worse diet sabotage.................................. ............. BLUEKITTY TRIES AGAIN : I HAVE HAD 7 SURGERIES IN 7 YEARS. IT'S LIKE I AM ALWAYS RECUPERATING. I QUIT SPARKSPEOPLE WHEN I GOT CANCER. MY IDEA WAS THAT MY LIFE WAS GOING TO BE TOO SHORT FOR IT TO MATTER.... WRONG! I NOW HAVE 20 MORE POUNDS TO LOSE THAN I DID BEFORE MY CANCER SURGERY. SO IT'S BACK TO CALORIE AND PORTION CONTROL FOR ME. I AM LIMITED ON EXERCISING BUT I AM GONNA MAKE IT WORK.
I want to be healthier. I need to lose weight to get there. I am not a fanatic about losing weight, I eat what I like. I am also trying to help my family eat healthier.
Using my nutrition tracker to make sure I eat appropriate amounts. Using my fitness tracker to make sure I burn enough calories to help me lose the way.
.My name is Jan and I live in Southern Oregon. I was on Sparkpeople as Blue kittygp and wanted to start from scratch.
I am a retired nurse. I am also a daughter, mother, ex-wife and girl friend. I am a home maker. I like to do hand crafts. I want to be a home farmer. I am disabled due to fractures in my back and neck.
"Whenever you make a mistake or get knocked down by life, don't look back at it too long. Mistakes are life's way of teaching you. Your capacity for occasional blunders is inseparable from your capacity to reach your goals. No one wins them all, and your failures, when they happen, are just part of your growth. Shake off your blunders. How will you know your limits without an occasional failure? Never quit. Your turn will come." -Og Mandino
Just stopping by to wish you a healthy week, Spark friend! If you fall down, get back up and keep pushing forward. I hope you know that you're always worth your best effort...because you really are! Hugs, Pixie
"Three of the most powerful words in the English language are 'I AM RESPONSIBLE.' It's tough to do, but when the day comes that you can say those words, believe them, and mean them, it will be the most liberating moment of your life. Taking responsibility for all of your results, for better or for worse, is taking back your power to create results in your life." -Tom Venuto
Its up to you to make your goals and dreams a reality, Sparkfriend! Take responsibility, and do your best each day to make progress. You are totally worth the effort, you know! I hope your week has been great so far! Hugs, Pixie
"Just because we are knocked down does not mean that we are out. We still have breath in our lungs and tears flowing down - all signs that we are alive! Take a deep breath and be reminded that often our biggest struggles are stepping stones to our greatest victories." -Rae Smith

“The whole idea of motivation is a trap. Forget motivation. Just do it. Exercise, lose weight, test your blood sugar, or whatever. Do it without motivation. And then, guess what? After you start doing the thing, that's when the motivation comes and makes it easy for you to keep on doing it.” -John C. Maxwell
Get ready for a healthy week, Sparkfriend! You know what you want, and you know what you need to do in order to make it happen...so just do it! Push yourself, even if you don't feel like it...because you really are worth the effort! Hugs, Pixie
