How do you get to the point of weighting 438 pounds when you should probably weigh 170 at the very most? Year after year of false starts and non-starts and a lot of resignation. Resignation, not acceptance... Most thin people couldn't understand this... but you can get used to weighing 50 pounds too much, 100 pounds too much, 250 pounds too much... It's easy... it's easy too not to notice how ...

How do you get to the point of weighting 438 pounds when you should probably weigh 170 at the very most? Year after year of false starts and non-starts and a lot of resignation. Resignation, not acceptance... Most thin people couldn't understand this... but you can get used to weighing 50 pounds too much, 100 pounds too much, 250 pounds too much... It's easy... it's easy too not to notice how your world gets smaller as you get bigger. Especially if you don't really want to notice...

I got used to it... I often resigned myself to it because you have to in order to live any kind of a life... I never accepted it though. And eventually the body doesn't accept it anymore either and things start hurting more and more, and working less and less like they should.

To come to this point and still not be able to hit on the thing that will help you change direction... It's not just confounding... it's daunting.
