2008 Birthday Card
This is my second attempt at sparking. i was successful the first time and lost over 15 pounds but with stress and shifting priorities, I am back at square one.
With 2009, I am claiming the year as one I will approach prayerfully. I am starting the year with a primarily vegan approach (I don't plan to keep this up, but I need to rethink my eating habits and simplifying meals for a while will help). I am also doing the SP Bootcamp and hope to lose 7 pounds during the 4 weeks.
i have a lot of starts, but little follow through. i lack discipline. when it comes down to it, if i could prove to myself that i have the ability to be disciplined that would be reward enough. discipline in terms of organization and stuff... i live to excess and need to purge not only weight, but things. i want to be healthier and have a more balanced life: physically, mentally and spiritually. you know, work too hard and rest too hard does not leave time to play hard and enjoy other parts of life. i like my life, but it is a bit more about survival than balance. i need motivation i need discipline. i need balance.
To beat my plateau (in decluttering and health), I need more energy so I am going to try to do 50 min of walking a day and walk a total of 10,000 steps. The walks help me with energy, but even more help me refocus my mind.

Everything in moderation, including moderation.
1. No Pop
2. Quiet time daily for reflection/prayer.
3. Go to gym at least 2x per week.
4. Eat 1 whole grains /legumes/veggies combo daily.
5. Eat out no more than 2x per week.
Be healthy and have a more balanced existence. I need to strengthen my spiritual and physical life (which includes the physical space I spend time in and its clutter). Overall lifestyle health and balance is my focus.
Current short term goal Lose 20 pounds by March 5.
Next 10 pounds =new workout clothes
Clean coffee table for 2 weeks= Silver Pom box
Think small, incremental changes. Mini goals.
Drink 8 glasses of water a day.
Go for walks with the dog daily, to reach 10,000 steps.
Time with God Daily.

I lost 15 pounds my first 4 months on spark, doing a lifestyle approach rather than "dieting." Gained it all back after I let my priorities shift.
I am in my early 30's, married for 6 years, no children but an amazing and spoiled dog. I teach high school English. Love reading, writing, graphic design, photography and taking on more projects than I can ever finish!

Thanks for stopping by to check out my page! I'm kind of at the same stage you are, from what I read on your homepage. I was doing really well, and then life happened in a bad way, and now I've got a lot to make up for. I'm hoping the bootcamp will get that momentum going again!
