Hi there! You sent me a poem back in March that you had received from your Weight Watchers leader called "You Can Be Whatever You Want To Be". I don't know if I ever thanked you at the time, but I was just reading back through old messages and came across this and it touched my heart. I am going to school right now to become a Drug and Alcohol Counselor and I'm struggling because my mom was just diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer. Things have been rough and it's always hard at this time of the year. She also lost her brother to bladder cancer 2 weeks ago. I think finding this right now was divine intervention and I was meant to thank you now for sharing it with me.
My time for me each week is my Weight Watcher's meeting. I have a wonderful, loving leader who is more a friend than a coach. She is a bright spot in my life and I look forward to seeing her each week. She inspires me to do my best, cheers me on when the scale moves down, and still praises me even if I have a gain. I hit my 50 pounds down last week and she was like a proud mom. I still have a long way to go, but I had gastric sleeve surgery in October and I'm doing well and losing at a steady pace of about 2.6-3.8 pounds per week. I'm hoping to be at goal in another year at this rate. I'm sorry to have taken up so much of your time, but I wanted you to know that your poem meant a lot to me and I'm sorry if I didn't tell you that at the time. Thank you again and I hope you have the best of holiday seasons! Lauri
