My Program:
Stay within 1200-1550 calories a day. Drink 8-10 glasses of water a day. Work out 6 times a week for 30-60 mins. Walk more. Eat less bread and processed foods.

Personal Information:
I'm 28 from SLC, Utah.

Other Information:
1. Vegetarians are, on average, up to 20 pounds lighter than meat-eaters. And unlike unhealthy fad diets, which leave you feeling tired (and gaining all the weight back eventually), going vegetarian is the healthy way to keep the excess fat off for good while feeling full of energy.
2. Vegetarians are less likely to develop heart disease, cancer, diabetes, or high blood pressure than meat-eaters. Vegetarians get all the nutrients they need to be healthy (e.g., plant protein, fiber, minerals, etc.) without all the nasty stuff in meat like cholesterol and saturated animal fat.
3. Meat is often contaminated with feces, blood, and other bodily fluids, all of which make animal products the top source of food poisoning in the U.S.
4. It takes tons of crops and water to raise farmed animals-in fact, it takes up to 16 pounds of grain to produce just 1 pound of animal flesh! All that plant food could be used much more efficiently if it was fed to people directly.

emoticon emoticon emoticon Kudos to you for joining us here on the Raw Foodies Team. This will be one of the best decisions you have ever made. Sparkers come here and join this great team for a multitude of reasons. They may be curious about the health benefits of Raw Food and join to learn all about eating Raw. Many join for the weight loss. Many join the Team for a Detox. There are a great many people who do the Raw Food Diet as a Detox but then they realize how alive they feel and how the pounds melted away so effortlessly they decide to continue to eat this way. There are others who will join this Team for the health benefits of a Raw Food Diet. A diet based on raw food can reverse diabetes, arthritis (I personally have experienced this. I went off all of my arthritis meds after only a few weeks), heart disease, cancer (that is how I became involved with the Raw Food Diet when my sister was diagnosed with Lymphoma), eliminates migraines, the list goes on and on.

So join us and learn how to make the transition from SAD (Standard American Diet) to a healthy Raw Food Diet. You will be happy you did! emoticon emoticon emoticon

Hey Marie! Things are good at the Bay :P I didn't get laid off in that last round. I work for the Quality team now and really love it. Sorry to hear China is rainy for you - we had really nice weather here today, it's that time of year when things start to warm up - love it! You'd be proud of me, I've sort of adopted a vegetarian diet for the health benefits. I even eat at this awesome vegan restaurant downtown called Sage's Cafe quite often - perhaps you've heard of it. This weight loss thing is tough junk but it can be done!!

Hey, welcome to Skinny Bitch! Great to meet another veggie lover! I think it's cool that you got a wii fit. I bought a wii and was thinking of getting the fit, but couldn't decide. The eliptical at home is so convenient too, how nice.
