I've just rejoined SP today after a long time off; I decided get a fresh start and created a new profile. With finishing grad school, looking for work, moving halfway across the country (I miss you Colorado!) and trying to settle in my new life in central New York, I've gained more than I'd like to admit even over my old high weight on my previous account. I'm hopeful that I can take control of my weight and eating issues again and stay in control this time.

I started my first "real" job last January at a large consulting firm that does work in environmental remediation (my education is in environmental engineering). I spend most of my time being a cubicle monkey appeasing the "billability" gods... this leads to some long, stressful days that end with me stopping for fast food on the way home. Needless to say the last year has not been good to my waistline; although I've never been skinny I've never weighed this much!

I'm still trying to rise to the challenge of balancing my work, my interests (travel, green living, international development, knitting, and reading) with exercising (who has the time?) and healthy eating (cooking for one sucks!). I'm going to attempt to chronicle my successes and challenges here and hope that someone gains something from it (even if it is only me).

My Goals:
My overall goal is to loose 90lbs but the time period is as yet unspecified.

My Program:
I'm going to try starting small this time around. I'll try and follow the plan outlined in "The Spark" from January 1 to 28 to jump start my journey. I'll then start on January 29 making sure my 27th year on this planet is my healthiest one yet.
