December 2012: The beginning of my journey...

March 2013: My chubby cheeks are going, going, not quite gone (but I'm okay with that).

Here We Go Again

After seeing a picture of myself from a Christmas party this year, I panicked. I couldn't get over how bloated my face looked and the double chin - UGH. This isn't the first time that I've tried to get back in shape, but I want it to be the last. I'm tired of having yo-yo weight, and I'm tired of hating pictures of myself. I think the best thing I can do at this point is be honest with myself and with everyone reading my page. I am ready to be healthy again.

My Goals:
Rewards:

[X] 10 lbs lost: Buy a new pair of shoes (found some running shoes I like)!

[x] 20 lbs lost: Have a pedicure (because I’m thinking my feet will need it) and a manicure.

[ ] 30 lbs lost: New haircut (thinking long bob).

[ ] 40 lbs lost: New bathing suit.

[ ] 50 lbs lost: Massage.

[ ] 60 lbs lost: Under 200 for the first time in three years! Going to buy a new outfit.

[ ] 70 lbs lost: Weekend trip with the husband.

[ ] 80 lbs lost: Buy a banging new dress. Preferably cherry red and curve-hugging.

[ ] 90 lbs lost: New Christmas outfit AND New Year's outfit.

[ ] 100 lbs lost: Professional picture session with my favorite photographer!

My Program:
I'm eating 1,280 - 1,630 calories per day (using SparkPeople's meal plan because it's so easy), and working out 180 minutes per week. On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I do strength exercises for 25-45 minutes (using the workout generator on SparkPeople). On Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday I do cardio exercises 30-60 minutes (usually I go hiking, walk a couple miles around my home, or get on my stationary bike and do one of the preset workouts).

Personal Information:
My name is Cody, and I'm 25 years old. I'm from Alabama, and I work a job where I don't really move around very much (which makes the weight loss journey a little harder). I make up for it by working my butt off (I mean this literally) six days a week.

Welcome to the Violet Vipers! I'm so happy to have you on the team! I can definitely relate to seeing pictures of yourself and panicking (although, if the picture you're talking about is the one you have posted- I personally think you are ADORABLE)! A friend of mine posted a picture of me on Facebook that was taken only a couple of days after I started dieting. I was so embarrassed I made her take it off. I cried every time I thought about it, but it made me feel better to be doing something about it! And I KNOW that nothing tastes good enough to outweigh the pain and humiliation of being overweight. emoticon emoticon and I can't wait to watch you succeed!
