No matter how much time I spend trying to rewrite the past, my story is the same. The only day that I can make better is today. What I do today builds a foundation for tomorrow. It may take me some time, but I want an unbreakable foundation.

Tracking my calories helps me understand the relationship between intake and out put, calories burned and activity level. It challenges me to do a little better each day.

I also need to look at behaviors. I am a believer in recovery and there are 12 simple steps to get most everyone where they need to go. I need to walk the way I talk every day. I can't forget who I am or where I've been, or what it took to get me where I am today.

I can only live in today. And by the grace of God, I need to do something today to not just benefit myself, but to pay it forward.

My Program:
Tracking is essential. When I don't track, I lie to myself. Small frequent meals/snacks are best for me. It keeps me from indiscriminate "chowing down."

Personal Information:
I'm a Christian mom and grandmother, who is retired from a long career as an addictions counselor and program manager providing chemical dependency treatment for adults and families in Northwestern Ohio.

Other Information:
I love reading, writing, arts & crafts, and nature! I am definitely a family person and love spending time doing family things!
