GO BLUE!

Just a math graduate student trying to live a healthier lifestyle. This includes preparing more meals from scratch (SparkRecipes.com is very useful for this purpose) and making sure I am getting enough vitamins and nutrients from food sources, rather than a multivitamin.

I have an appreciation for almost all kinds of food (fast food and healthy food alike) and find that moderation works for me. The only foods I tend to avoid are ones that contain unnatural sources of trans fats ...

I have an appreciation for almost all kinds of food (fast food and healthy food alike) and find that moderation works for me. The only foods I tend to avoid are ones that contain unnatural sources of trans fats (partially hydrogenated oils), but I would like to eat more fresh fruits & veggies and less meat.

I try to average around 1800* calories a day. Sometimes it's a lot more, sometimes a lot less, but on a monthly basis it works out to be about 1800/day. :) Weight loss is not one of my goals--in fact, I would like to some day work towards putting on 5-7 lb of mostly muscle mass... but still need to work on consistency in my strength training routine.

*2000-2200 cal/day when I am training for a 5k.

BLIBBITY managed to eat an entire large tub of popcorn (with extra butter) at the movie theater last night... This is the fourth (? fifth?) tub in the past month! Sigh...

The victory is yours, if only you choose, to do what is right, so that you can lose!

Just keep moving ahead, doing things to keep you fit, not allowing distractions to keep you from it.

Don't focus on things, that will hold you back, just shove them aside, to keep you on track!

If you look back, and see what brought you down, you will find what it is, that can turn around!

Keep your heart, and mind focused on to your goal, there is plenty of stuff, that is good for your soul!

Be happy with the steps, that you take every day; don't get stuck in the traps, that will pull you down out and away!

I thank you for your encouragement, it means much to me! Keep moving forward, and soon you will be free!
