Hi and welcome to my page! My name is Lisa and God has blessed me with a wonderful husband and 3 beautiful children. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) when I was 20-years-old and also battle a family history of high blood pressure/heart disease, degenerative disc disease, and obesity.

In the past, I was afraid to exercise due to MS-related dizziness, balance, and muscle weakness issues. I finally begged my neurologist to refer me to a physical therapist so that I could start moving in a safe and healthy way after I realized that the adage that one must keep moving to keep moving was now a reality in my life. I could easily end up in a wheel chair if I don't strengthen my body.

In November 2012, I began intensive one-on-one sessions with a physical therapist to address my dizziness and balance issues. Two months later I "graduated" to the clinic's wellness/fit program and now work out six days/week, three at the clinic and three at home.

I work part-time for a small, Christian ministry and am unable to drive, so I don't get as much social interaction as I would like. I am excited to be a part of the amazing SparkPeople community. My spark has been lit, that's for sure!

My Goals:

Hi! You're doing great! Keep it up! Me? The water is killing me! I find myself forcing the water down only because I kept telling myself my body really does need it. Yuck! Much rather have a diet coke with lime....

Hiya Lisa! I just popped over to say Happy Tuesday, and to check up on how you're doing. As I remember you were aiming to "right" your carbs:protein ratio. How's that going? Success?
