My Goals:
Mainly I want to be healthy and a fit vessel for the Lord's use. My goals are to change my lifestyle to include an earlier bedtime, better stress management, and more discipline in eating and exercise. I would like to meet my weight loss goal of 35 pounds by Summer of 2010.

My Program:
I am keeping my calories to under 1400 per day and 9800 per week. I also do 30 minutes of Cardio Monday through Friday. I do light weights on Tuesday and Thursday, and Pilates on Monday and Wednesday. I am privileged to stay home and homeschool my kids so I can exercise quite a bit. Oh, we also bought a Wii for Christmas. The Wii Sports is a fun way to add more activity.

Personal Information:
Originally we are from Southern New Jersey, but we haven't lived there since 1997. We moved to Tennessee to attend Crown College and my husband worked at the Temple Baptist Academy there in Knoxville Tennessee until 2002. He was called back into the Air Force after 911 and we lived in Maryland for five years. We recently moved back to Maryland where my husband took a job at Andrews Air Force Base.

Other Information:
I am blessed with three wonderful children. Our first grandchild was born in October of 2009! My husband and I have been married for twenty years. He is the best Christian I know. I would follow him anywhere!

Morning Motivation

When I woke up this morning lying in bed, I was asking myself, What are some of the secrets of success in life?I found the answer right there, in my very room.

The fan said, Be cool
The roof said, Aim high
The window said, See the world
The clock said, Every minute is precious
The mirror said, Reflect before you act
The calendar said, Be up-to-date
The door said, Push hard for your goals

And not to forget, the carpet said, Kneel down and pray.

Carry a Heart that Never Hates.

Carry a Smile that Never Fades.

Carry a Touch that Never Hurts.

May you have a purposeful day in the Lord and a wonderful week.

A Mother

A mother can be almost any size or age.
She has soft hands and smells good.

A mother likes new dresses, music, a clean house
and her children's kisses.

A mother does not like having her children sick,
temper tantrums, loud noise, or bad report cards.

She can bake good cakes and pies,
but likes to see her children eat vegetables.

A mother is underpaid, has long hours
and gets very little rest.

She worries too much about her children.

And no matter how old they are,
she still likes to think of her children as babies.

A mother is the guardian angel of the family,
the queen, the tender heart of love.

She is the best friend anyone ever has.

A Mother is "LOVE." emoticon

Spring is here!
In like a lion......out like a lamb.
Old Man Winter.........we say "Scram".
The streams are full from the melted snow.
Soon will be time to plant and to hoe.
The birds are chirping high in the tree.
Spring is arriving.....that we can see.
Flowers rising from their wintry beds
Crocus and tulips raising their heads.
Bunnies hopping around in the clover.
At long last..........Winter is Over.

Happy Spring!
