"Mom of three here, that before kids was 150 lbs and a size 9. Now, 10 years later I am at 250 lbs size 20 and finding it hard to keep up with the kids. Then I stumbled on to this site and decided to give it a try so here I am."
"A year after i wrote this, and I am back. I didn't stick with anything and now my doc says that my bad cholesterol is way to high and I needed to change my lifestyle. I thought of this place first, so I am back and am going to make it work this time!"
I did discover that losing weight, eating right and exercising increases fertility as well and decreasing my waist size. DH and I welcomed our 4th child into our family on August 4, 2008. So I put the diet on hold until she was born, but I can say that it has helped me tremendously and I look forward to starting again tomorrow.
DH and I married in 1997. As I said we have four children, 3 girls ages 13, 8 and less than 1 and one son, age 10.
I love to craft and have dabbled with scrapbooking, drawing, crochet, knitting, weaving, painting, polymer clay and many others. I currently make newborn and preemie items and donate to a wonderful organization, God's Tiny Angels, that distributes the donated items to hospitals across the country.
I am also Girl Scout leader. I began in 2004 as my oldest daughter's Junior leader. This year will be her last year as a Cadette and I will be the leader of my 8 year old's Brownie Girl Scout troop. I have never worked with girls this age before as a leader but I very much look forward to it!
I was a student at WVSU, majoring in Elementary Education and planned to get an extra endorsement in Pre-k/K and reading specialist. However, with the new little one, I am back to being a SAHM until this one starts school. I firmly believe that my first priority is my family and that as the mother it is my job to be there for my children, especially when they are young!
I am also involved in my church in many capacities, I work part time cleaning, and am the secretary for my local Girl Scout service unit team.
As you can see I stay busy, it's just a sedentary type of busy. I plan to shed thse extra pounds so that not only can I keep up with my own kids, but the kids in my GS troop and at the church! Not to mention the future preschool children I plan to teach.
Goal 1; exercise 3 times a week

Hello Ginny, How are you doing? Thank you for your comment on my post on TKR. Sorry to hear your mom had to have it too. Don't give up on her recovery yet, it takes about 9-12 mo. to fully recover from it. The first 4 mo. are the hardest. Tell her to do the exercises, and anything else she feels comfortable doing every day. Don't give up! Talk to her doctor about it too. Good luck to her and you. You both are on a new lifestyle journey together. Betty
