Fit for life!!!

So tomorrow Feb 21st will mark my 1st anniversary of committing myself wholeheartly to fitness and nutrition. I'm so proud of myself. I have always enjoyed working out but never made it a daily routine in my life. What a difference that makes! I have grown a lot this year. I lost 17 pounds which doesn't seem like much but I didn't have a huge amount to lose. I'm stronger and so much wiser about fitness and nutrition. I challenge anyone who really thinks that they just can't lose those ...

My Goals:
Completed my first 5K in Aug this has been a goal of mine I'm not a natural runner so this is tough for me. I would love to finish a 5K in under 25 minutes.

My Program:
I'm currently doing the BFL program. I'm in a group of about 15 other girls and it helps keep me motivated. I hope to lower my BF% and get toned for summer!!

Personal Information:
I'm 36 married mother of 2 and just want to get my health and body back to what it used to be. Before I started this program back in Feb I really didn't think that I could do it but I'm focused and just trying to keep everything going.

Hi there! You have such a cute family!! I loved reading your about you stuff because I totally can't wait until I can say I've gone a year totally focused on my fitness/health!! How awesome will that be! I'm doing BFL right now too! I'm on my 11th week....boy has it changed my life! So far I've lost 7lbs (which is a lot for me b/c of my size), 1in in my waist, 2in in my hips, and 3in in my booty!! Love this program! I'm totally going to keep it going after the 12 weeks are up! I already am getting my next food/workout journal ready so I'll be prepared! It's nice meeting you!! :)

So are you saying the fourth day just try to add in a bit of cardio like running? I was thinking mon and thurs lower body and tues and fri upper body and wed and sat hiit. So should I do antoher bit of cardio on my friday the second lower body day? Right now it take me about 50+minutes cause working out at home I do DB web leg extensions and have to do one leg at a time. Thanks for your insight and i do agree it is so nice having more people to do it with.

Hey I would love your opinion on something in regards to BFL. I am an even distributor weight wise and since BFL has you doing either upper or lower body twice a week I thought it would be more beneficial fo rmy body type to be doing upper twice during the week and lower body twice during the week. One issue with that though is that I really can't afford the time getting in a day of two workouts getting my 3 HIIT cardio. So that would leave me only getting in 2 HIITs during the week and I still have a bit of fluff to rid. do you think I shouldn't worry about losing one HIIT with increasing in ST? Should I not do this at all? I really need some advice about this and i know you have gone through the program. I started week 6 this week. So I am not even completed the halfway point but almost. Thanks

You are so beautiful and look in such great shape. So how much weight did you lose with BFL? I am on week well almost done with week5. My first weigh in was disappointing. I actually gained a 1/2 pound and stuck with the program. I tend to have alot of muscle but just really want to lsoe the fluff so i can get to it and see it more. I would have to say that starting last week and this week I am more content with the program. I feel like the workouts are like my workout soulmate. I really look forward to them well not HIIT so much. I came off of P90x in Sept. which is my body from it in m profile pic. I am trying to get there again. I am only about 3 lbs from that pic, but I had a ton of muscle then. I was about 10-11 weeks in of P90x. I had to tell myself to continue with this program even if I dont' see the scale budge. I ahve a girl that told me that her friend totally transformed but didn't lose a pound. Gos hI hope that won't be me. I tend not to lose well. With doing a whole round of p90x I look like I dropped alot but only lost about 4-6lbs. My body just changed so much.
May I ask what keeps you from continuing wit BFL?

Thanks for the comment on my blog. I usually try to strength train my lower body once a week and try to lift heavy. I was doing lot's of lunges, squats, walking lunges etc. Before I started teaching Zumba I was also doing lot's of plyo. I think really what's made a difference is eating clean too. That does wonders for my body and makes me feel so good.
