Ok- took a little time off there and now it is time to get back to it!
I am setting new goals- and staying away from the cake!!

This is within my control, now if I could just act like it!!!

I am turning over a new leaf today. There are hundreds of women on this site who have done amazing things and I want to be one of them!

I am choosing happiness, contentment with who and where I am, peace in my world, lots of joy, love, and forgiveness.

I am going to put myself first on my list of people to take care of so that I will have the energy to take care of all the rest.

I am going to live a purposeful life and make decisions that honor my family and my value system.

I will also make decisions, starting now, that will lead me to my goal. No more self sabotage, no more negative thinking, just thoughts of how strong and beautiful I really am.

I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Psalm 139:14.

5K- Done! April 12th- I ran the entire way! (And I am so sore!) Note to self-warm up and stretch better next time!

10 pounds gone! I thought it would never happen.
15 pounds gone! Good grief that last 5 was tough! Moving on!! (Aug. 17th)

Goals/rewards-
5 pounds- new running shoes- Done 4/28/08
10 pounds- great new strappy sandals!- Done 5/9/08
15 pounds- Special trip w/ hubby-done 10/1/08
20 pounds- new exercise clothes
25- THOSE new shoes! (spark goodie)
30 pounds-a trip to CA to see my best girlfriends
35 (goal weight)-Cruise to Greece with my family and anyone else who wants to join in the fun!

My Goals:
To make good choices everyday. Whether with food, health, family or friends.

I want to choose my life and not leave it to chance.


My Program:
I am committing to exercise everyday, make better food choices and log everything. I will strength train 3x a week and do cardio 6x.

I live in Middle Tn on a "pet" farm. I'm a marriage and family therapist in private practice, I have 3 kids, 5 dogs, 4 cats and a pot bellied pig named "Baby".

    Hey Friend, just checking in on you. I sure haven't done much for my weight loss (ugh). It is just not so easy for me. I think even when I eat right and try to exercise I still hardly lose. Maybe it really is a hormone issue or maybe just natural aging slowing of the metabolism (not happy about that!). It has always been a struggle and now it's harder! Yikes!

    I'm headed to Vegas with hubby next friday and then to CA for a week, returning June 22nd. I'm really going to try to hit the weight loss/exercise thing and feel better about myself. I can't give up!

    Hope you are doing great. Let me know if you are around and how your summer is going!

    I have been having trouble, since the holidays, getting fully "back on track", too! I gained almost 10 pounds from October until January! UGH!!!!!!!!!!!

    I have lost 6 pounds of that, so far, & I am FINALLY in full swing, again, with my training! Just joined the YMCA so I have access to a pool for lap-swimming, & am so excited to get outside & ride my bike! Here in VT, it has been "struggling", but I think Spring is finally coming! LOL!
