My Weight Loss Journey

I am 52 years old and I started at 264 pounds in 1998 and have been trying to get down to 150 pounds since then.

I have rheumatoid autoimmune disease, which sometimes makes it difficult to exercise, but in 2009, I exercised 253 days and in 2010, I exercised 344 days! Now some of those days were only 10 or 15-minute exercise sessions but the point is that exercise is doable even when you're sore and most of the time, it actually makes me feel better!

Now some of those days were only 10 or 15-minute exercise sessions but the point is that exercise is doable even when you're sore and most of the time, it actually makes me feel better!

Unfortunately, I gained 6 pounds other the course of the year.

And, then in 2011, I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my knees and wasn’t able to do as much exercise as I did in the past two years. But, I did some physio on my knees and by the end of 2011, I was exercising more days than not even with some kickboxing. Woohoo!

I exercised a total of 144 days for the whole year and lost the 6 pounds that I gained in 2010. I did that with a combination of Weight Watchers at the beginning of the year and with the support of the Awesome A Team on the 5% Challenges on SparkPeople in the latter part of year. And, I only gained 1 pound over the Christmas holidays with their help as well!

I’m looking forward to staying the course in 2012.

Morning sunshine,

Yes DH has been in the hospital twice in a weeks time due to bleeding ulcer issues. He has just been re-released with better info on diet and medication restrictions. For me it was maybe scary then for him because I've never loved anyone as much as my kids or my mom, sister or neice and I do him and its awesome but scary.

Time to move on down the road of recovery.

Hope all is well, miss my warriors. Hugs

Thanks for stopping by my page and for your concern! Yes, you need special software for income tax and its offered free on the Revenue Canada Tax website. They give you choices, but the one that says its certified is best, claims to be free, but asks for a donation if you find the software useful, but I ignored it. It was very simple to use, it asks you questions, and based on your answers gives you forms to fill out like your T4, etc. The problem with my Dr.'s is my specialist is sick with Leukemia and already pushed back my first appointment with her a week which made me late for my renewals as I see her only once a year and she renews them for me then. Also, for whatever reason, they have a policy you have to see your Dr. to get meds rather then phone or fax in, but you have to do that with narcotics anyway. My family Dr. has a very busy practise and also only goes three days a week as she has hospital and nursing home clinics. I have no transportation and I am not even sure where there is a clinic close to me -I have one in my building but no Dr., just a nurse practitioner and I don't think she can prescribe. Its snowing like crazy here, has been since early morning at least and none of my relatives want to drive in these conditions as its really cold and icy. Will just have to suck it up until I (hopefully she is okay) see my specialist on Thursday.

Thank you so much for the sunshine! emoticon It is still raining here. We have a small, more like tiny, (4 by 4 by 18 inches deep) pond with gold fish in it, in our backyard. It has rained so much and melted so fast that now there is a bigger pond where the yard used to be. I am worrying about my basement.

My husband was making jokes about our fish being able to jump out of the pond and make a run for it. LOL Not really funny but I am tired so please forgive me. I am blaming everything on the time change. emoticon Hope you are warm and dry. Hugs.

Hey, my favorite little world traveller. How are you? Loved your Belize blog. So envious.

Same ol' same ol' here. Your note reminded me I hadn't yet updated the monthly book list. March has now been posted.
