I have been over weight for many years and have tried to lose weight on my own off and on. I know that Sparkpeople.com is an amazing site and that it will help me to control my urges! It is amazing how I have changed my life using Spark People. I now feel a lot better and walk a lot faster!

My Daily Goals for May 2013

Weigh 190 again -Unfortunately, the holidays have helped add back on, I am now 198.

My Daily Goals for May 2013

Weigh 190 again -Unfortunately, the holidays have helped add back on, I am now 198.

Goal for exercise is to get back to the gym. I am restricted due to my knee surgery but I can do the following:
Bike - 30 minutes
Leg Curl - 3 sets of 10 (30 pounds)
Leg Press Machine - 3 sets of 10 (60 pounds)
Stair Step
Abduction Machine (30 pounds)

I can also do any exercise that involves my arms!

Things I would like to do:
Go to a chiropractor - I still have a lot of neck issues from the car accident I was involved in.

Eat at least 4 to 5 fruits and vegetables a day.
Eat fiber

Try to keep a positive outlook on life even when life is really hard.

Love my family and friends as much as possible.

My Goals:
Be out of the 190's by June.

I am ignoring the pain in my knees and exercising full kilt again.

I am drinking 8 -10 cups of water a day.

I will eat more vegetables and fruits.

Work hard at staying positive.

My Program:
I am tracking every piece of food that goes in my mouth and sometimes even before it goes in.

I am riding the bike at the gym for 30 minutes and I have been trying to do 10 minutes on the stair step.

I am drinking about 8-10 cups of water a day.

I am doing strength training at least twice a week.

Thank you for your prayers! They are much appreciated. She is stable, but she needs further operation on both her legs and she is not stable enough for this yet, so prayers are still needed.

My Monday has been a disaster. I think I am a bit traumatized with my resignation (and still no news on a new job) which makes the work rather depressing.

I DO HOPE that the good stuff at least came your way! I know you are over the ears with all the preps (but some times that can be good, right?) emoticon keep it cool.

LOVE the flip-flops! They are the symbol of summer. Unfortunately, this summer is failing to being installed. We are tempted these days to turn the heater on. Luckily, the insulation and the new windows make it bearable. But I am looking forward to summer. Very much!

Just another three days and then rest comes for you. Our graduation is in the fall - but I won't have to work for it this time :)

So funny I just saw you gave me a gold medal - must be the one about great minds LOL!

Hope you are doing all right. This is a long weekend for me and one which is really not burdened with stuff that needs urgent attention. I so needed the rest - but it's two papers' deadlines by the end of June. Will think about that later.

Have you been all right? Is the graduation done and over? Are you planning a vacation at the sea? emoticon

I thought you got most of the summer off! That stinks that you don't. It also stinks that my kids do. They don't have enough to do without school. emoticon
