Thanks to Jen-Loves-Life for my title statement.

January, 2014--At work I tell potential flight training students that their results with training depends on how much life gets in the way. It's like that with my fitness program as well. Fell off for a long time, now I have a lot of work to do. Starting with trying to eat better and eat less. Then I'll add more to the program as I go. Good luck to me and you!

September, 2011--well, I'm at it again. With the summer house renovation, I lost all focus and gained weight, even though I was getting in lots of activity. So I'm back to the treadmill, and starting to track my eating. I'm certainly the poster girl for having to do this time and time again. So, let's all do this!

Mid December, 2010- Been maintaining now for 4 months. Feels great! I thank SP and all my Sparkfriends for helping keep me accountable. Trying to make this "normal", and a lifelong committment. Woo hoo!

9-29-2010-Yesterday I ran across this quote in a blog. Don't know who to attribute it to. "Losing weight is hard. Being fat is hard. Choose your hard." I choose being smaller! How 'bout you?

9-1-2010- Today I was named a SP Motivator! Wow-Thanks everybody! That's very humbling. I sure hope to help if I can. Doing so, I hope, will keep me accountable and help me with maintenance. We all help each other. Yea!

Late August 2010: Few weeks past reaching goal and I'm at 136. That's a bit more comfortable, as I've decided I want my goal range to be 135-138. Have begun adding in a few more cals.

8-1-2010: Well, goal weight (140) popped up on my scale today! So now the real work begins. I've lost weight before. Maintenance has always been my nemesis. Gotta figure it out this time! Stay tuned...

5/18/2010: Have fought weight issues most of my life. Have lost 100+ pounds 3-4 times now. Lesser amounts numerous times as well. Trying to get fit and figure this out before I turn 50 this fall. Don't want to have to lose this much again!

Fitness Minutes: 21,305

My Goals:
Work to get back to where I had gotten to in summer 2010, then maintain. Exercise daily and be happy and healthy!


My Program:
Summer 2011 saw us renovating the house DH's grandparents built, and I lost all focus. Gained weight, so now I'm working at it again! Starting easy, tracking my nutrition first, and will increase the program as I feel ready.




Personal Information:
DH and I live and farm in north-central Indiana. We have two grown children; 1 married, 1 we left at the farmhouse when we moved in Aug. 2011. Update Jan. 2014--I'm back and we have grandbabies now. Outside of work I enjoy crosstitch, reading, crafts, and our hot tub w/ DH.


Other Information:
On Leslie Sansone's 5 mile fat-burning walking workout dvd she says something to the effect of "taking care of yourself is a gift you give others". I like that!

I love this Patrick Swayzee quote, "If you really want to change, you have to want it everyday."
