I joined Sparkpeople after being inspired by some of my online and fabulous friends from a little community called the Nest. I did however lost steam, not once, but twice and 2 yrs later, I find myself heavier.

I was never overweight, I was actually always the skinny girl, even though my mother and her family all struggle with weight issues. But, something about getting close to your 30s and falling inlove with my now husband made it all change. After 6 months of dating I had stopped going to the gym and gained a whole 15 lbs.. I went from a very healthy 128lb frame to weight 143lbs.... I managed to lose 10lbs for our wedding in 2005. But the following year I had gained it all back and some more.. and on the day my little boy Rodrigo was born on October 2006 I weighted a whooping.... 197lbs!!! YIKES!!

For a whole year I stalled at 167lbs (still having to lose 20lbs from my pre-preg weight of 147lbs) . On January 1st 2008 my scale said "Happy New Year" by showing me the ugly reality.. I'm now weighting 176lbs!! And on Jan 1st 2009 I was 178lbs.. YIKES.!!

In 6 yrs I've gone from
128lbs - 178lbs
Size 6 - Size 14

My 35th bday came and I didn't accomplish any of my health goals..

My new goal is to make up for it and be a healthier me by my next birthday on Oct 16 :
- Weight 130-135lbs by the end of the year
- Have run a few 5Ks
- Have toned arms and thighs..
- Have a firmer stomach

How do I intend to attain that...

Mar - 5 lbs diet and walk every other day
Apr - 5 lbs walk/jog
May - 5 lbs start Couch to 5k program
Jun - 5 lbs
Jul - 5 lbs Run a 5k
Aug - 5 lbs Run another 5k
Sep - 5 lbs Run Race for the Cure in SF
Oct - 5 lbs Happy Birthday to me.. Weight 135-140lbs

My Goals:
Lose all the pregnancy weight and some more!

Go down to my ideal -to me- weight for my height, 130lbs, and ideal BMI of 24.

Feel good about the way I look and fit in my size 6 clothes

My Program:
-Walk/Hike/Run in the weekends
-Gym twice a week
-Follow SP Nutrition plan
- Follow "Couch to 5k" plan
- Reward myself with "little pleasures"

Personal Information:
I had the most adorable child in the world in Oct 2006.. Mr. Gummy.. but having him left me with way too much weight and a nasty looking flabby stomach.. I want to get back to how I looked, not before the baby, not before my wedding, but how I looked 5 yrs ago.. After meeting my husband I started packing on the pounds and I've let myself go.. I want to feel good about my looks again..
