My Goals:
My Goals are pretty simple...lose 50 pounds, go down 3 dress sizes and get into better physical shape. A big plus would be not having my doctors telling me to lose weight everytime I go in to see them.

My 50th birthday is next May and I'd really like to have the 50 pounds gone by then!

My Program:
Drink lots of water 8-10 glasses per day.

Walk 7 miles every day.

Take a water aerobics class 3 times per week.

Get in my 6 fruits and veggies every day.

Exercise portion control.

Stop snacking whenever I get bored.

Personal Information:
My name is Liz and I live in the Cincinnati, OH area...up by Kings Island.

I've been married to a wonderful man named Richard for the past 24 years.

I don't work outside our home because my time is spent taking care of my 87 year old dad who lives with us and is in very poor health.

Other Information:
I enjoy gardening, cooking, NASCAR, hanging out with my friends and I'm even starting to enjoy my daily walks!

Welcome to the Caregiver Children team! We're so glad you've joined us. Our daily chat thread is called "Daily Check-In". We laugh, we encourage, we listen. Our team goal for August was to choose a personal goal, and work on it 5 days a week. Some picked exercise, one team member even picked collecting smiles! I'm working on reconnecting with friends and families. Others have chosen taking care of themselves, or practicing peace. If you would like to join, scroll down the main team page to the Team Goal section, and click on the link beside it. It will put a tracker on your "Other Goals" page. We report what we've been doing on the "Team Goals" thread.

"Looking for Blessings" is where we remember to look for the positive things in our lives. The Support Forum is where we can ask caregiving questions, or post caregiving info we run into that we think will be helpful.

Jump on in anywhere, we're looking forward to meeting you. I see from your blog that your father is in the hospital. How is he doing?
