I love my family! I guess we're all fit enough to jump.

Lunch run along south side of Mississippi River in St Paul on Feb 16, 2012 (30 deg F, wind 10-15mph)

Time to head back to work. Lunch is almost over. Need to make good time.

Lol! Thank you very much for the butt re-attachment manual. I'll keep it handy during every workout.

Keeping a positive attitude is often difficult, and you're right - my spirit does get a workout. I have kept up the fitness, although my diet could be much better. My wife and I have a good relationship through all of this, although I think she is a little tired of me "nagging" her about eating enough protein. She is a fighter, though, and I think we'll prove those doctors wrong again.

I hope ope everything is going well with you!

Actually things got worse, concerning my wife's health. First, our 3-year old grandson drowned, making my wife extremely depressed. Days later, her cardiologist gave her weeks to live. A few weeks after that, she was admitted to the hospital with a serious internal infection - she spent two weeks there. The good new is that it has now been 7 weeks since the doctor gave here "weeks to live" and she remains stable. She is definitely a fighter. Thanks for checking!

No real hiking this summer (except for short ones in town). My wife's health has been doing downhill quickly, and I am now doing all of the work around the house, as well as taking care of her. I'm hoping she feels better by October as she wants to visit Monument Valley in Utah. There are a lot of good hiking places in that area. She told me she would just spend one day reading in a motel if I wanted to try some of them. We'll just have to wait and see.

Good hearing from you!
