When I first joined this site, I wrote "Life goes on, and I'm tired of sitting on the sidelines watching." I've spent the vast majority of my life sitting on the sidelines...mostly because I just wouldn't allow myself to join in, to be happy, or to be successful!! Pretty dumb, eh? (Ya, I'm Canadian)
If John Glenn could go into space at 77, and Katsusuke Yanagisawa could climb Mt Everest at 71, even though I'm a 57 year old grandma, it's not too late for me either. It's not going to be easy, but my life alarm has been going off too many times lately for me to ignore it any more. My body is falling apart from abuse and neglect, and if I don't do something NOW, I won't be able to walk without a cane in a few years...definitely not something I want to have happen any time soon!!
I'm also going to get back to my blogging...I've been away from my writing from far too long, and at least the people here understand what I'm going through!
To be able to walk up a flight of stairs without getting out of breath.
To be able to play horsie with my DGKs for more than 5 minutes without having to rest.
To be able to buy clothes somewhere other than the plus-sizes department!!
To get my blood sugar and blood pressure levels under control.
To learn to enjoy having an active life again.
Spring 2016 5% Challenge goals:
Eat sensibly and in moderation, adding more water and freggies.
Walk dogs daily (weather permitting)
Tai Chi 1X/week
DDP Yoga 2X week
Take ALL medications
Find new ways to add activity to my life every week.
Be an active team member.
