The Journey to the New Me!

I'm about a third of the way through my weight loss journey. I just need help staying motivated and on track. I really want to get this extra weight off by next summer. I'm tired of being FAT!!!!!!

My Goals:
I would like to get back to a healthy weight so I could enjoy shopping for clothing again! I also want to be able go hiking with my boyfriend and not feel self-conscious when I go to the pool or beach.
I've been coping with a case of Planter Fasciaitis which is steadily improving thanks to my diet and losing weight.

My Program:
My doctor has recommended South Beach. Plus, I try to walk my dog everyday for 20-30 minutes, and have started doing the SP Bootcamp workouts.

Personal Information:
I'm from Knoxville, TN. I'm a graduate of the University of Tennessee(Go Vols!) with a degree in Communications (Broadcast Management and News.)
I have a long time boyfriend, and a dog I love! Plus, I'm a caregiver for my mother (she has Parkinson's Disease).
I recently started made a major career switch from being a television writer/producer to radio sales. So, I'm learning new stuff everyday!

Other Information:
I lotjoy gardening, knitting and reading. I love going to the beach in the summer, and skiing in the winer. The mountains here in East Tennessee are beautiful, and once I get in better shape, going on hikes in the Great Smoky Mountains is on my list of things to do again.
I just need to allow more time for that kind of activity instead of just vegging out and watching the television every night.

Yeah...I track everything, weigh in only once per week and then take my measurements once per month...I hope to get to the point where I am secure enough to not weigh myself anymore just go with the feel of my clothes...

And you are right eventually the hard work pays off...

I am really happy that I started measuring because I have in the past...and my wt loss has slowed in the last 2 weeks so this shows me that working out and following my path are working even when other numbers aren't dropping as drastically...

Did you get the job that you so drastically wanted?

Thanks for the encouragement...I just hate feeling so dragged out and tired...it just is not like me...so then I get spooked and worry that I am ill...so right now I am putting it down to weird Canadian weather...too much rain and not enough fun or sleep!
