Hello Everyone! I'm Gwen.... am a SAH mom, married 21 yrs. to my best friend & soul-mate, bored, lonesome, empty nester (2 teenagers who are NEVER home but not 'gone') going to be 52 in May with over 30 pounds of excess baggage for the first time since I was last pregnant 17 years ago. I've never dieted... never needed to and now I don't know how nor want to! I need tons of help and motivation here!

Everyone Hello! A friend on another team told me about this website and I'm sharing it with every team I'm on. This is absolutely FABulous! It's called Dottie's Weight Loss Zone at www.dwlz.com

It has a HUGE list of restaurants nationwide with entire menu's and ALL THE CALORIE COUNTS!!!!!!! No more guessing when I sit down with a menu! I can look stuff up before I go and know exactly what I'm going to eat and how much! It's soooooo cool!

"SP recommends making one small change at a time and working on it until it becomes a new habit. The rationale behind that is if we try to do too much at once it can overwhelm us and cause us to give up. So start with just one thing, work on it until you master it and then move on to the next.

This is a lot like a baby learning to walk. They start out by trying to stand up while holding on to something. Then they start walking around things as they hang on. After that they start to leave go and attempt a step on their own. In the process they fall many times, but they never quit, and eventually they are walking and running. Slow and consistent (and even persistent) will get us walking and running in this race for a healthier lifestyle."
