Me and my guy!!!!
My daughters and I, all dolled up for a "Flapper/Gangster" wedding.
Hi, getting thin was always something permanently unattainable. BUT, now I'm to the point that, yes, thin would be nice but healthy is even better. I have so much to be healthy for; husband, children, future grandchildren and ME. I want to get old gracefully and full of grace. I want to enjoy life as it comes and not have to work around aches and pains due to poor choices in my past. I've discovered that as I inch towards health that my outlook on things has even changed. I'm very excited to see what's in store as my journey continues.
My goal is to look good, feel good and to live my life to the fullest. I want to serve my Heavenly Dad with a temple He'd be proud to live in. Who would want to live in a run down, out of shape, falling apart house anyway? :)
1) I've joined a local T.O.P.S.(Taking Off Pounds Sensibly) group...accountability!
2) I'm aiming to be at my goal weight by Dec 31, 2008
My name is Maribeth and I live in Southern Ontario, Canada and have a wonderful husband and 3 beautiful daughters. I enjoy motorcycling ALOT! My husband and I spend alot of time on our 2-wheeled machines, covering alot of real estate, mostly State side.
I've been an avid quilter as well for many years and am presently looking for someone that likes to sew quilts and ride bikes (no, not at the same time). This is a tall order, I've discovered! Oh well, will keep looking!
My faith in God is a very important part of my life.

Well hello there. How are you? All is well on my end. Just writing you to say hi and check to see how your journey is coming along? I know that you are still riding hard, so I have no questions there.
Have a wonderful Monday,

Great to hear from you. I agree with you, the RS is a bit top heavy. My DH and I test rode a K1200S last year and were really impressed with it. Do you still have your RS? It's a fun bike but not for long distance. We had RT's before the GSA's that we used for touring. We just loved them but were thinking that maybe we would do more off road riding. LOL Hence the GS's. They are way too heavy and big for being off road unless the roads are dirt and not too rutted. I'm 5'7", not too tall. I have a low BMW seat and we changed the GSA shocks for just GS shocks. That lowered my bike enough so that I am flat footed. Very comfortable for touring and easy to handle. Actually it doesn't seem as heavy as the RS, and is fun in the curves!
We were just up your way last summer. It was a great trip. Do you do any touring? Do you ever go to the National rally? We usually go every year. It's in Oregon this year. We belong to BMWST.com and are meeting a group just before the rally in the Sierra Nevada's in California and then heading to Oregon after that.
Maybe this summer we could meet halfway and do some riding. It would be great to meet you! -Kate
