My name is Linda. I started on this journey to health on July 7, 2007. I developed a Healthy Food Plan. I made a list of food I CAN eat, and a list of food I CAN'T. If it's not on my CAN list, I don't eat it. I've been successful. Sure, I slip up once in a while, I ate potatoes (my comfort food) a few times. I've eaten pizza...but not often. I've eaten chocolate. But, 99% of the time, I stick to my plan. I went from 348 pounds to 320 without a minute of exercise.

Then, on September 10, 2007, I joined the Biggest Loser Club. I started exercising, little by little. And lost 84 more pounds. I have now lost a total of 112 pounds, with 51 pounds to go until I reach my goal weight of 185. The Biggest Loser Club helped me to change my life. I got the support, motivation, inspiration, and yes, occasional kicks in the butt that I need to be successful in this journey. And I WILL be successful. No doubt.

Another reason I want to succeed on this journey is for my sister, Sharon, who died due to complications from Gastric Bypass Surgery in July of 2006. I want to succeed the RIGHT way, WITHOUT surgery, for myself AND for Sharon. She is my guardian angel on this journey and I'm so glad to have her on my side.

My last reason to be successful on this journey is to live a healthier life. I'm a single mom. I want to be around, and healthy, to see my son become the great man he is destined to be. He's my proudest achievement.

I just left the BLC on July 9, 2008. So, I will be spending lots of time here and I'm very excited to get involved in some great threads!!! Also, I love, love, love the helpful articles here!

One major highlight of this healthy journey. I went to Biggest Loser Trainer Bob Harper's book signing in Dallas in February. Bob signed my book. I shook Bob's hand. I hugged Bob. I kissed Bob's cheek. I pinched Bob's butt...LOL!
