Why am I here? Well, Mom and Dad had drunk sex, but we're getting off topic... ;o)
Why am I here on Sparkpeople? I'm gonna say "fried rice for breakfast" and "stretch marks" and leave it at that... ;o)
I'm a big guy who looks like a cross between a bear and a pirate (and I actually perform as both on occasion. Yar!). I'm like a fat Johnny Depp without the good looks. ;o) I'm trying to drop a few pounds for health (not esthetic) reasons, increase my stamina, gain some strength, and not die.
I've been very overweight my whole life, and at one time was 400 pounds. I've lost about 150 pounds over the past 20 years (I've been up, down, off, on, and am constantly seduced by food that's in my line of sight), and still have a way to go. I've had a life-long struggle with compulsive eating/lack of will power, and I'm hoping to find some friends, inspiration, and support.

My hobbies are Hawaiian nose-humming and rhythmic apathy.
Now it's just getting silly...
--Manage my back pain/injury (herniated disks) and anxiety.
--Increase my stamina and strength so I can enjoy life and look like "The Thing".
--Improve my performance as an MC, musician, pirate, bear mascot, etc.
--Visit Ireland and Britain and hike without wheezing.
--Do more volunteer charity work.
--Not get winded when I blink.
Pescetarian (the only "meat" I eat is fish) with a very healthy/balanced diet. I eat protein shakes, lots of veggies, and do cardio and weights 5 days a week.
I'm a big bear with a dry/odd sense of humor. I'm just trying to be a good person and enjoy life the best I can.
