It Ain't a "DIET" it's a LIFESTYLE!
3/26/11- Oh Lawd how did THIS happen? I didn't even know there WAS a "motivator of the day" Don't quite know who to thank for this! I just logged on and there it was! What a terrific surprise! I'm a professional vocalist and I was horrified when I saw a video clip of myself. I Looked 8 months pregnant- no KIDDING! It was the slap I needed to wake me up that not only have I let myself go- but I have been missing out on many things I used to really enjoy. So...I know it's gonna be a long up hill battle but I will go from 210 to 130! Excited to be looking at a new lifestyle...also excited to work my way BACK through my clothing from size 18 to size 6(REALLY looking forward to the money I can make selling the larger sizes on eBAY too! LOL)

My Goals:
Overall I want to lose 80 pounds! BUT- I also want to be able to do my favorite hikes(one of which is a mile straight down then back up again at better than 45 degrees- so you're literally climbing and rapelling at points. Hmmm...I also want to be able to incorporate choreography into my singing without having to gasp for breath...Oh an I am challenging my 65 year old dad to lose weight so I need to set a good example for him!
My Program:
10,000 steps per day a minimum of 360 minutes of cardio per week avg of 1400-1700 calories consumed per day: 50% from complex carb 25% from "healthy" fat and lean protein strength training 3 times per week with fitness ball, assorted weights, resistance bands, DVD's etc

Other Information:
I have always been a slender person until i got married. My lifestyle changed significantly at that point. I was travelling because my then fiancee lives west coast and I on east so the time I spent exercising dwindled to nothing. I also stopped singing 3-6 mights a week(which burns off anywhere from 600-1000 calories a night) to spend time with him. On top of that my diet changed- I lived on salad and fish...My hubby, like most men is meat and potatos...so. One day i woke up and was literally double the woman I used to be. My hubby understands that I am getting fit and healthy again and he either eats what i cook now- or he fixes his own. Ya gotta do whatcha gotta do ya know?
