Wanting a life change

I'm a 32 year old, Married, father of 4. I'm a computer tech and also a Pastor. I put on a lot of weight as a child, then got into really good shape in high school and college, then got an office job and the rest is history.

My Goals:
I have a lot of goals I suppose. Obviously being healthier and in better shape are two. But basically, I just want to feel good again. Feel good phsycially, mentally, and every other way I can. I want to look in the mirror and feel good. I want to know that I'm doing my best for my wife and children. They deserve it. And I want to be around for them for a very long time.

My Program:
My program has consisted of pretty basic stuff until recently. I started with basic weight training followed by cardio that was either a recumbant bike and ellipticle. They have been great and I've lost over 50 pounds that way. But recently I began to lose motivation and get a bit bored. So I'm taking the plunge and starting P90X. Never really did an infomercial type of program before, but based on results I've seen first hand, it was enough. I'm starting Monday June 9th.

I know we are crazy to move here right!! No, we wanted an adventure so my husband decided to go international with his job and so we chose Siberia of all places! It has been fun but we are ready for a change. We are looking to move at the end of this year or maybe around March of 2009, hopefully to somewhere in Asia, but you never know! We are just praying that God leads us to where we are supposed to be. If we put our future in His hands, how can we go wrong!

Glad you liked the quote - I just found it so inspirational. There are days where I need to read something like that to give me a boost, after all we are human and can get worn down by all of this!

May God give you the strength to get through another day!
Blessings! jen

I found this quote and just loved it!!

“Our days are numbered. One of the primary goals in our lives should be to prepare for our last day. The legacy we leave is not just in our possessions, but in the quality of our lives. What preparations should we be making now? The greatest waste in all of our earth, which cannot be recycled or reclaimed, is our waste of the time that God has given us each day.” Billy Graham

Let's get out there and make the most of this glorious day that we are blessed with!!

Work hard...Reach high!

I'm not sure if I'm going to embark on X yet. I'm so out of whack with my routine, I want to focus big time on eating right first. I'll get back in the swing of things, though! For sure, I'm going to do the lean program, though. More cardio--just my style!

How's it going for you?

Hey, I really liked your "featured board post" (yeah, I just read it. emoticon Not good on keeping up with my email.) I always enjoy when someone realizes it's about a lifestyle change instead of a diet, and that "slow and steady wins the race".

Thanks for a great post. I hope many others found (or will find) that as motivational as me and follow your lead. Keep up the good work!
