Hi! My name is Denise and I am a single mom of 4 beautiful kids! I have struggled with my weight all my life and now at 42 am my heaviest ever. It disgusts me and I need to make healthy changes now! Hey beautiful! Thanks for adding me as a friend! The network of friends here on spark have been a vital part of my continued success. I am honored to be added as your friend and count it a privilege to be added as yours. Here's the deal Denise, I believe, no I know you can make huge changes in your life and your health and be the best YOU that you have ever known. How do I know it, because I did it. No tricks, no pills, no gimmicks or shortcuts. I changed everything about my health and physical appearance. BUT, I didn't do it all at once and I didn't even believe it could be done when I started. I made one change in my eating and one change in my movement each month and slowly built a whole new me. If I can do it, you can do. Let's start here, now, take some of the self loathing out of how you refer to yourself. Be proud that you recognize that changes need to be made and that you are willing to make those changes and invest in you! You are beautiful, you are strong and you can do this!

Hey! It's Terri. I finally joined Spark People. You were right...this is a great motivator! I'm looking forward to using this sight. Thanks for the heads up. I only wish I checked this out months ago when you first told me about it.

I hope you're still going strong. I was so excited for you when I saw your recent message to me. Keep it up! Once we reach our goals we should treat ourselves to a trip when we can meet each other in person.

Welcome to the Couch to 5k running group!!!! Stop by the message board and introduce yourself to the team. On the team page you will find a thread for each training week. Click on week one and post were you are at in your training. This is a great way to meet others who are in the same phase of training as you. Some of my best friends were in my training week one and we worked through the program together sharing victories, questions, comments, and ideas. I look forward to learning more about you. I will be popping in on the Weeks 1 - 3 training to help answer any questions that might pop up and to cheer you on to your goals! Be blessed! Be a runner!
