Diet Coke and a pizza please...
Hi there. Thanks for visiting my SparkPage. I'm a big lass from Bonnie Scotland and desperately need to lose half my body weight. 40 is just around the corner, so if I don't do it now I probably never will. I've tried before, with limited success, but it never stuck. I'm hoping that, with the help of the resources on this website, I can change my eating habits and my lifestyle for the better. Wish me luck!

My Goals:
My first weight target was 280 lbs, which I achieved on 08-Jul-09. My second weight target was 250 lbs, which I achieved on 18-Nov-09. My next weight target is 220lbs, which I hope to achieve by 31-Mar-10 (my 40th birthday!).
My Program:
I am using the Nutrition Tracker to count my calories and I weigh and measure all my food to control my portions. I attend a weekly self-defence class, which includes a fairly rigorous workout with Russian kettlebells that gets the ol' ticker pumping. I've also joined a weekly Salsa class, which is great fun and something I really love.
Personal Information:
My name is Charlie, I'm 39 years old and live in Edinburgh, Scotland. Height: 5'6" Start Weight: 334lbs 10% Lost: 301lbs - Achieved 04-Apr-09 15% Lost: 284lbs - Achieved 17-Jun-09 20% Lost: 268lbs - Achieved 02-Sep-09 25% Lost: 250lbs - Achieved 18-Nov-09
Other Information:
I enjoy reading, watching TV and eating my body weight in chocolate. Except I'm not supposed to do that anymore :o( I love dancing, but was forced to give it up for 8 years because of foot problems - not caused by my weight, ironically, but because I suffer from minor hypermobility, which has resulted in Cuboid Syndrome, a condition whereby my ligaments have become over-stretched and no longer hold the bones of my feet in their proper place. This can make walking extremely painful at times and I was informed that if I wanted to keep on walking I had to give up dancing. However, after losing 70lbs this year, I proved my podiatrist wrong and was able to go back to the Salsa dancing I love so much. This just goes to prove that the experts don't know everything, so don't give up on your dreams; if you want it badly enough, it'll happen!
