    Mal schaun was raus kommt.
Ich hoffe Dein Fuss verheilt weiter gut.

Violet, I don't know what a charcot foot is, so I guess I don't have that. I have osteo arthritis which made the bones collapse in my right foot. I also have rheumatoid arthritis which crippled my toes in my left foot. I had also developed hammer toes. The big joints in my right foot were fused together with screws and staples in August. Then the bunions on both sides of my left foot were cut, the toes straightened and the big toe was fused with 2 screws in January. Those screws came loose and the bone only grew together some on one side but not the other which made walking painful. That was repaired 2 days ago. Since August I spent most of my time sitting on my butt. With this type of surgery, you can't put any weight on the operated foot. It's the pits. I started counting calories again when I noticed that I gained weight. Exercising is limited due to RA and arthritis on a good day. It's the pits but I'm doing the best I can.

Hi Bienke! Hope you will be feeling better soon!! Do you have Charcot foot? You don't have to answer if you rather not. I do have it and hope I will never need surgery. Take care! emoticon

Gabi, my right foot is still numb in a lot of places but it is slowly getting better. My left foot, where only the big toe has been fused I have problems with. I'll have a CT scan on it in a week to see how much grew together and how much didn't. It's kind of hard to see on the X-ray. I shouldn't have any pain walking on at this time but I do.

Bienke... vielen dank! I read your description of your foot surgery and it's EXACTLY what I had done to my right foot!
