After living away for several years, I am back in my small Kentucky town, residing in the house in which my great-grandparents, my grandparents, my parents and my sister and I lived.......at various times, of course. After living away for several years, I am back in my small Kentucky town, residing in the house in which my great-grandparents, my grandparents, my parents and my sister and I lived.......at various times, of course. Amazing. Shortly after I arrived here, my plum jelly and jam entries (made from the fruit trees in my backyard) won two blue ribbons at the local county fair. This was a first for me! During the many-year interlude, I lived in university towns in Ohio, Iowa, Michigan and South Carolina. I do miss the art and music venues, and I hope to move back to the last 'stop.' I am divorced, have two adult children and have two grandchildren, one of whom has Asperger's Syndrome. I have learned a lot about that syndrome and would be interested in hearing if anyone else is dealing with Asperger's in their family. I have two music degrees and am toying with the idea of writing a fiction/fantasy novel aimed at pre-teen and adolescent readers. Last year, a cousin and I helped to produce a 650-recipe cookbook, "A Taste of Heaven," for our church. The recipes are 'divine,' and the proceeds go to our benevolence fund. This was a delightful project. My desire is to meet others who are interested in achieving and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. My interest is to lose the "too many" pounds of weight I added since I moved back to Kentucky!

My Goals:
My goal is to lose the several pounds of weight that I added since returning to my home town. In addition, I have found a business and a new career. Fun! I am planning on living a long time. My mother passed at 95. It's in the attitude. I will get back to a size 10 and a Medium and will donate my larger clothes.
My Program:
By finding and joining SparkPeople, I am counting calories and learning more about nutrition. I'm back at Curves and will go about three times a week. My clothes are fitting better, but I am noticing a change in my face. As weight goes, wrinkles show! Water, seafood and vitamin C may help.
Personal Information:
I have two college degrees and a background that includes a bit of teaching, a lot of sales experience and a period of running a rather large non-profit professional symphony orchestra. In my varied sales 'careers,' I've sold everything from cars to graves! And now? I'm back in sales and helping others to reach their goals.
Other Information:
I have had a very busy two months - joined Avon as a rep, then spearheaded the revival of a town festival that had been canceled. The festival was great, our local food pantry benefitted, chili was the 'meal of the day,' and prizes were won, especially the vacation to Oceans One Resort in Myrtle Beach.
