Its been 100 days officially on March 22, 2009. So far I have learned that I am an emotional eater and that it takes a lot of discipline and willful conscience decision making to overcome those emotions that threaten your life for well-being.
I have packed on the exercise minutes and have seen the results thus so far. I am happy with the progress I am making, and have turned into a better confident woman as a result.
The challenge has been daunting at times, but I will survive and make it.
I look forward to the challenge and hope I don't fall short of my goal(s). My goal is to lose sixty pounds by November 26, 2009.

1. Do strength training every other day.
2. Do a cardio workout every other day.
3. Do 500 minutes of fitness activities per month.
4. Eat 5 fruit & veggies with my children 3 times a week.
6. Stretch 15 minutes everyday.
7. Drink 8-10 cups everyday.
8. Walk 500 minutes per month.
9. Do something nice for the hubby once a week.
10. Take some me time time out for myself at least once a week.
11. Lose 5.5 lbs each month until I reach my final goal of 60 lbs. lost by November 26, 2009.
I have 7 children ages 16, 14, 13, 11, 8, 6, 2.
I've been married for 9 years to my second husband.
I am a nursing student currently working on two degrees.
Beware of those who make you doubt your thoughts and dreams, and stay with those who encourage you to go for what you know you are made of!

I know the board has been a little quiet but myself and the other leaders are trying to bring the board alive again. So please keep checking in with us. We can unleash our curves together in a healthy yet fun way. I'm so looking forward to all of our scales dropping,maintaining,and creating friendships all over again. I am responding to the request you made in your status update. Most of us experience lack of motivation at some points during our fitness journey. Hang in there. Try to do some type of exercise for 5 minutes every day. You can do squats while putting your clothes in the dryer. Curls while bringing in groceries. Bring your dumbbells into the kitchen while you're cooking, and do an exercise, then put some water on to boil. Do another exercise, then put the pasta or rice on. Then do another exercise, etc. etc.
What helped me was to put my workouts on my daily task list, on my kitchen whiteboard, where I also put up our family schedule for the week. When that no longer works for me, I do slow down a little cuz my life just demands more of my time than I have, and so I have to focus on other things for about a month. Those times I just do maintenance, or try not to undo all the progress that I've done.
Additionally, you can blog about it. Your team members have been there and know what you are going through. You are NEVER ALONE in this. No matter how distant your goals seem, someone here has been there, and knows that it can be done. So you just hang on for dear life. Do whatever you have to do to make YOU a priority. Because you are worth it. Because you can do this. I know it. Do you?
