I am 50, mother of 6 working fulltime, and live just outside Philadelphia, PA. I joined SP at the recommendation of a nutritionist after losing a great deal of weight and struggling with maintenance. I started at 456 pounds and made it to 148 3 years ago. Sadly, I relapsed in a major way and dropped off SP as I fell. I originally lost all my weight on a liquid protein diet with 600-800 calories per day (actually I did that same diet 4 times and lost over 200 pounds each time and then gaining it all back). I killed my metabolism with this feast/famine. I just want to be healthy - eating a normal diet with a normal calorie range. I nearly died in January with a pulmonary embolism. Recovery has been slow -- and the weight is not helping.

Other Information:
I like to write and do needlework. I collect cookbooks and love to cook. My weight had me in a wheelchair and needng both knees replaced when I was 39.
