Hi.Thanks for stopping by. I have been over weight most of my life and a yoyo dieter to boot. After forty, diabetes and high blood pressure showed up. My plan is to stick to a healthier routine of eating right and exercising . I have 2 main goals. First, lose 100 pounds. Second to no longer be diabetic. I know I can do this.

My Goals:
I want 2010 to be a good year!! Finding myself once again starting a weight loss regime. Last year I lost 22 pounds but back slid. I'm diabetic and as a short term goal, I want to get my numbers where they should be. My long term goal is to lose 100 pounds. Determined to get somewhere this year ( and stay there!)

My Program:
- eliptical or aerobic activity 45 minutes 5 days a week;
-free weights 3x a week
- eating healthy and staying within1400-1730 calorie range daily

Thanks for stopping by with the congrats. I think my body is adjusting to the new area. I still walk the beach on tide down times and we started walking what I call the hill loop it is a walk up to the highway on our private road. The reason I call it the hill is because the elevation goes up 300 feet in the mile and turn around and back down. So it gets the heart pumping at the beginning of the walk to burn more calories from the beginning. Hubby likes the walk and he is building his leg muscles up after his stroke so it does him a lot of good to get out and get a walk after work.
I know what you mean about a great way to wind down. Hubby and I use this time to catch up on each others day and to come up with plans for his days off from work.
Do you have any plans for the up coming Holiday? We will go for a hike on one of the days on a trail that is a 12K walk that will be nice and plan to take a picnic so we can rest when we get to the turn around point.

Hey, how you doing? Hubby and I walked the beach this afternoon a north wind is blowing a front into the area, I found some brown sea glass and a large quartz perfectly round rock. We had a storm last week and it took out a lot of drift wood so this storm will bring it back:) We did manage to go all the way to the point I posted a blog with a picture and then we walked up the hill loop another two miles up hill then home.
So how have you been doing this week? I have been very busy and not on here to much, just to catch up with friends. I hope you write when you can. Have a wonderful weekend. Sandy
