Reaching 20% body fat in 2016

I've been struggling with my weight all my life. I was only skinny-fat for a couple of months in my whole life and I want to have a fit, sexy body forever.

Overall, I want to be happy in my own body and not obsessed about weight.



Winter 5% Challenge Exercise Commitment

Strength Training: 2 times a week

Cardio: Run/Walk 60 min/day

Mileage: 5 Miles a day

Hi BF20PERCENT! Welcome to the 30 by Christmas team!! It's a truly amazing group of people. I know you're going to love it.

Thanks for commenting on my page. The 10K race was FABULOUS, thanks for asking! I'd really trained hard for it for the past 6 months, and did very well for a first try. I did it in 1 hr 9 min (which was 5 minutes faster than my previous 10K training run) and came 13th in my age division. It was a beautiful day, the race was VERY well organized, and I felt STRONG. I'm doing another one later this month, and it would be great to improve on my time; but I'm not going to count on it. By that point, we could have snow which would definitely affect my time.

I see one of your goals is to become athletic, too. That's terrific! I think too many people are shooting for "skinny" when we should all be aiming for "healthy and strong."

Throw out the start over parachute...imagine you are falling from the plane and the only thing that will save you is eating right and moving your body!
