New Team New Text!!

I am starting this year with a new 5% weight loss challenge with a new team. For some reason i was not accepted with the team I am usually with. But maybe I need something entirely new this time around... am looking forward to getting to know some new faces and having some success in my weight loss journey

I am starting this year with a new 5% weight loss challenge with a new team. For some reason i was not accepted with the team I am usually with. But maybe I need something entirely new this time around... am looking forward to getting to know some new faces and having some success in my weight loss journey

I lost my dad in early december so has been a very hard month to get through... my eating went crazy... yet for all the junk I have been eating only gained about 4 pounds... was thankful it wasn't any more...

I will be doing green smoothies at least once a day... eating protien and freggies for the rest of the day... following the Tim Healthy Mama plan except for the bread as bread is my trigger food. Will see how it goes... the plan makes sense in that you are eating just wholesome foods and don't have to make anything weird as some of the plans out there.

i joined curves last October. I haven't been in a month as I have been so exhausted can't hardly put one foot in front of the other... plan on getting back there next week. Just trying to get back to where I can function again.

Looking forward to the next challenge. AT least with joining these challenges i am more aware of what is going into my mouth even if i don't lose the whole 5%

My Goals:
lose 5% in 8 weeks

go to curves 3 times a week

eat clean, no bread or potatoes as they are my trigger foods

eat more fruit and veggies

participate in my 5% weight loss group over the next 8 weeks

My Program:
cutting sugar, flour products, processed food, and coffee

walking with walking poles as many days a week as I can manage with my knee pain

eating more freggies and less protien.. snacking on freggies and nuts instead of junk

committing myself to this program for 8 weeks




participate in my Champions in the Kitchen 5% weight loss group

Personal Information:
I live in BC Canada.

I have a husband and 2 children and 2 wonderful grandsons.

I will celebrate my 40th wedding anniversary this coming June.

I have been a christian for many many years. The Lord is the main stream of my life and my only desire is to please Him.

I have many struggles in life but by His grace I shall overcome.

My weight has been my hardest but I know that I need to do something about it as one of my grandsons at 11 is already having this struggle and I want to be able to encourage and help him

Other Information:
I love to do crafts...

Love to knit, crochet

Love to scrapbook even though I am so far behind on my grandsons books.

Love to try anything new that looks like it would be fun to do when it comes to crafting.

This week’s tid-bit/”mini-challenge” Let’s LOSE THE BLOAT! emoticon

Sip a daily 16 oz cup/glass of green tea, with a little lemon juice, (or more throughout the day, if you like). Hot or cold, your choice. Green tea blocks the “bloat hormone” (vasopressin) that prompts your body to hold on to fluids, especially on hot days, so drinking green tea could be the key to a slimmer-looking you this Summer!
