Moving, moving, moving

I have been working on weight loss since I was 10 years old. Many iterations of diets and weight loss and gain have been my pattern over the years. I have been unable to sustain it, however, and keep winding up in the same place physically. Actually, it is a worse place physically, with age making it's inevitable contribution. At this point I feel more emotionally ready to lose weight, perhaps because it is more about my health and ability to engage in the activities I enjoy than about physical attractiveness. I just can't get away with carrying this weight around at this age and not have it inhibit my movement.

I am a healthcare provider and southeastern Ohio, have an adorable and supportive partner of 20 years, a son and daughter(in-law), 3 grandsons, and a wonderful brother. I am owned by two Yorkies :-)

I am considering learning a musical instrument. Anyone here play a hammered dulcimer?

I like your goal... Move more and more and more. That's what I need to do! So many of the things I really enjoy doing are sedentary. But I'm making changes.
