Closet full of small clothes!

Hello! Welcome to my SparkPage.

I recently had a life-style change that reduced my daily calorie burn down to couch-potato.

Now none of the wonderful clothes in my closet fit! Arghh!

In November I joined the local gym with a Buddy. Unfortunately, my Buddy’s schedule has changed and we are unable to workout together. I have discovered that it is hard to stay motivated without a workout Buddy.

In November I joined the local gym with a Buddy. Unfortunately, my Buddy’s schedule has changed and we are unable to workout together. I have discovered that it is hard to stay motivated without a workout Buddy.

I try to go to the gym 6 mornings a week.

I decided to have a Personal Trainer in order to learn how to use all that gym equipment properly.
I booked Sara, my PT, for twice a week at the beginning of November through to the end of the 2008.

Sara is great! She is very patient with me and is always encouraging. When I have a scheduled appointment with her I always feel committed to being there!

Sara has also given me terrific meal plans and advise. I am doing my best to stay within her guidelines. :-}

A PT is rather expensive though so, now I am trying to decide whether to keep seeing Sara for once a week or once every 2 weeks or just once a month. I have not decided yet.

One day I was surfing around online looking for new exercises to try at home because I felt that it was starting to get hard not to skip my morning trip to the gym. I discovered SparkPeople and immediately joined the site.

I am now a member of several Spark Teams.

I have joined the SparkPeople "New YOU Bootcamp" to stay motivated. Nicole is my favorite SparkPeople trainer!

I have also joined the Nashville SparkTeam. A great group of people!

SparkNashville Team Leaders have a 6 week challange that I have enrolled in also.

I try to do cardio 30-60 min for 6 days a week.

My goal is to do strength training 3-4 days a week for at least 30 min. Total time at the gym on strength training days will be about 1 hour. (30 cardio + 30 strength)

Often, I also do exercises at home in the evenings. I love Nicole's videos!
