Remembering Me...Again

I am a Pharmacy Tech and a Volunteer Medical First Responder. I have one husband, two kiddos two, goldfish, and a strange looking doggie named Roxy. The pet count is subject to change. The kid/husband count, not so much.

If I'd actually lost a pound for every time I've come back to sparkpeople, I'd probably have met my goal by now.

I *was* an avid runner, albeit a slow one, until a move and an injury slowed me down. Since then I've gained back about 15 pounds. ...

I *was* an avid runner, albeit a slow one, until a move and an injury slowed me down. Since then I've gained back about 15 pounds. As well, we moved from a very flat area to a very hilly one, and it feels like I've lost **all** my fitness.

I miss running...and I miss having running related goals. I really want to start trail running this summer, or at least when the snow is less than knee deep. In the meantime, I'm going to try to fit in as much fitness as I can, while balancing family, shiftwork at the hospital, volunteering and various testing I have to do to stay current. I need to make time for this in order for it to work.

Current Status:
BETHIE_ESS really had to force myself to stick to everything this week. Got my exercise in...food, not so good. We'll see what Monday's weigh in says.

Beth, Thanks for adding me as a friend! I am a slow runner (actually I call it wogging, that is walking/jogging) I can do about a 12 minute mile. For my age I think that's pretty good! (started running at age 53 a couple years ago.) Glad to see you here! Wow, I'll bet there is still snow up there. A lot here in the mountains but not right where we live. I'm sure you will have some good running goals soon! The virtual races here on sparkpeople are pretty good! At least a place to start.

:) It's getting warmer, but I swear the snow just won't stop this year!!! I'll be shovelling out until June at this point!
