Welcome to my Spark page. I am 64 years old and a retired speciaI education teacher (non categorical preschool).
My husband and I have a 4 year old rescue beagle named Buster. He is a bundle of energy and makes us laugh. He has eerily similar traits that we saw in our last 2 rescue beagles. He's very sweet and lots of fun for us.
Our daughter, husband and her 3 children (my adorable grandchildren) live about 25 minutes from us. They also have an old rescue beagle. I am so fortunate to see them a lot. They are my sunshine!!
Our son is married to a great woman. They have his rescue beagle (see a pattern in our family?) and her two cats. They live about 25 minutes from us also (in the opposite direction!)
I joined Spark in December 2009 and, like everyone, life has thrown me some curves as well as blessed me in many ways! Although I struggle with consistency, my main struggle seems to always be with exercise. It seems I do fine for awhile and then I get off track. I always go back to the basics but it does get discouraging.
I'm trying to focus on being a healthy me with the energy to have fun with my family!

    Hi BETH,
I love that photo of the kids together and the youngest one always makes me smile with that pose. Christmas must have been such a lot of fun with them.

Only one son out of three. Our oldest son Mark could not get through the mountains safely. He needs new tires and I told him to stay put please. He was alone and it saddens me. Alex and Tegan stayed with their mother she was making my Gingerbread house and the kids always helped me to glue it together.
Our bachelor son just bought his first home in Wisconsin. He had to work.

It was a very good time we had Christmas crackers and they always liven up the party.

    Now it is BOXING DAY.!

    My very special Day.

My family in my youth were servants and so they brought home boxes of food to the family.

The left over food from the table of Christmas Dinner were from the Lord of the manor. They gave the leftovers to the servants. PLUS the servants have the DAY OFF!

    It's BOXING DAY!

Well one to have all the family. We have too few times we can get together and still just one son and DIL from Las Vegas -now Maine still at our home and I love it that way. I think DH is really liking it talking to his son and granddaughter. Out DIL has a job and she is doing much better with the house full. Pat in Maine. We are the ones who are lucky to go with family.
