Welcome to my Spark page. I am 64 years old and a retired speciaI education teacher (non categorical preschool).
My husband and I have a 4 year old rescue beagle named Buster. He is a bundle of energy and makes us laugh. He has eerily similar traits that we saw in our last 2 rescue beagles. He's very sweet and lots of fun for us.
Our daughter, husband and her 3 children (my adorable grandchildren) live about 25 minutes from us. They also have an old rescue beagle. I am so fortunate to see them a lot. They are my sunshine!!
Our son is married to a great woman. They have his rescue beagle (see a pattern in our family?) and her two cats. They live about 25 minutes from us also (in the opposite direction!)
I joined Spark in December 2009 and, like everyone, life has thrown me some curves as well as blessed me in many ways! Although I struggle with consistency, my main struggle seems to always be with exercise. It seems I do fine for awhile and then I get off track. I always go back to the basics but it does get discouraging.
I'm trying to focus on being a healthy me with the energy to have fun with my family!

Thanks for the bloglove. It was important for me to figure that out - don't want to be mad at my best friend who had no idea she was pushing me - since I never told her the backstory. all she knew was that I was getting exercise after work that day. Clear communication is so important.

BETH,Thanks for the message. I saw a stress fracture but it did not look like anything. I feel sure it must be something else. Today I took more ibuprofen and I am feeling sluggish for sure.
I am so darn slow with everything and after a while the house is a big mess. I want to do it but I really want to walk.
DH and I are doing OK and our son loves his job. They have lived here for over two years and for the most of the time we can get along. Thanks for reading my blogs it is the easiest way to keep in touch.
I force my hands to keep moving for me. My Acupuncturist said I was doing the right thing. I could not get my hands to squeeze and I decided I would take the bull by the horns and do twenty clenched fists at home and in the car at red lights. It helps my hands to start moving with much less pain.

Take care, Hugs I miss people right now. HUGS and thanks for your friendship. Pat in Maine. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
