I have been a member of Sparkpeople for several years now. Temporarily, I needed to join Babyfit for the 9 months of my pregnancy. My baby boy was born on January 8, 2009. He weighed 9 pounds 6 ounces and measured 22 inches long. So now that he is born, I am back with Sparkpeople again. I so want to lose weight. Being pregnant along with already having been overweight was very uncomfortable. It was very hard on my back. Buying maternity clothes was not easy either! I want to have more kids too. Hopefully this desire will motivate me to shed pounds to make the next pregnancy easier. I just want to be healthy!

I am married to a lovely husband and dad, Paul. He and I have been married since 1996. We didn't think I would ever be able to bear children. We tried everything we could. Then, by God's miraculous and soveriegn hand, I was pregnant without any help at all. Praise God! This dream took 12 years to come true for us. We love our baby James. I named him after his great grandfather and great uncle - James Andrew. Now that he is born, I am a stay at home mom.

I am from Indiana but live in Alabama. I visit Indiana frequently to see family. I have 3 siblings, one older and two younger. I have3 nephews and 6 nieces.

I enjoy reading, writing, crocheting, cooking, sightseeing, traveling, listening to music, and watching movies. I love being a mom! I love mountains and beaches. Oh and I love to go on cruises. I have been to St. Thomas, Nassau, and St. Maarten on a 7 day cruise. I want to go back on another cruise so badly. Other places I have traveled to have been Niagara Falls, South Carolina, Nashville, Destin, Atlanta, St. Louis, Chicago, and Indianapolis.

My Goals:
To go down 2 more pants and shirt sizes. To lose 25 pounds by June 2010.

My Program:
Carrying a 32 pound baby around all day. Walking for 30 minutes a day. Strength training for 30 minutes 3 times a week. Drinking lots of water. Eating 1400 to 1600 calories a day.
