Down 39kg/85lb !Only 6kg to go. Im back!!!That will be 100lbs total.
I'm studying Spanish as part of my Science degree. My major is Astronomy. I plan to go to South America, hence the Spanish, as they have the best scopes there! I study part-time at the moment so will probably be 60yrs old before I graduate! Nah. I'm planning to go full-time study in a year,or so. My other passion is Photography but weirdly enough I have actually been interest in joining it with Astronomy. Maybe I should give it a go:) I also work at the University. I would love to travel more ...
I would love to travel more and I will. One of my plans for this year is to get fit and I'm rewarding myself with a 14day adventure course! Kayaking, rock climbing, sailing, tramping etc. I'm going to be fit and slim enough to do it all without too much effort and worry that I wont fit into something or that I'll be too heavy for something. Can't wait! I lost 90Lb (40kg) in 2006( while quitting smoking) and as you imagine i was very proud of myself. Check out by photos to see the ups and downs. My heaviest was 260lbs and Ive been to 167. I know what its like to loose and what its like to put it back on. There was a time there were I couldn't look after myself and couldn't see the big picture. I used food and drink as a crutch. It took me 2 years to get back on to a healthy path and this time its coming off and I will keep it off. I have just recently been diagnosed with BiPolar and I just had surgery last year to remove a very large (6inches round!)benign tumor in my abdomen. Its was a scary and trying time but I am positive and keeping to a my routine helps. Also speaking with like minded people on SP is great! :) ..every hour slithers by...turning into night...days holding hands until the weekends arrive to force away another month. The months blur. What's the date today? Another birthday looms with hope of a new you. A special occasion in the future a goal to work toward. Maybe its a wedding or reunion. Is it someone you haven't seen for a while? You've had months to get sorted but in the last weeks you are still calculating how much you could drop if you could just be good. That special date speeds by and finds you in the same place, bulging at the seams, still planning to start or restart. Then there is xmas where you have to eat and drink your weight to be "festive". The last blast before you get serious. After you feel sorry for your state you mark the new year with a promise that this time next year you will be healthier. You aren't going to be in the same place next year! No way. Your done being fat. The fat girl is finished and she knows it. She's fighting you with everything she's got but only one of you can be there next New Years. Who will it be?
