A full well
Finding time for myself - just for myself is a difficult process. I thought I had it all under control. I used to be in such great shape! I'd workout regularly, ate right, etc...but between my three kids, three jobs (?) and especially now, my mother's illness, I was forced to relinquish much of my spare time. And oh, that motherly guilt is so strong! I put on weight regularly and almost stopped exercising, and reached a whopping 187 pounds. My back hurts, my feet hurt, and not surprising my knees do as well! It took me a while to get here, but I realize that to be my best, I must take time for myself, regardless of the guilt I may feel for not thinking of others first. Being there for others means understanding that my well must be full first.

My Goals:
My goals are to exercise regularly! 5 or more days per week! I need to lay off all those darned carbs that weigh me down! My weight loss goal may seem extreme, but I want to get back down to my goal weight of 129 pounds. Meaning I must lose 58 pounds to get there. Sheesh. I know I've a long path ahead of me, but an elephant is best eaten one bite at a time!!
My Program:
I am exercising regularly. 5 or more days per week. I walk 2 miles after dinner - I try to get someone to go with me, but alas, that doesn't always happen. I've decided to eat more. Veggies that is. And give the carbs to someone who needs them. I realize that I need support, and that I can't do this alone. Friends are wonderful. My kids are too. My oldest son (he's 13) tells me that he'll be my personal trainer! My 15 year old daughter pretends that she's not at all interested in my new goals. (But she's watching. She's always watching!!)
Personal Information:
I was born, raised and still live in the Great (dairy and beer) State of Wisconsin. I love them both, incidentally! I have three kids, two of whom I've already spoken of. The third is a little guy who's 8. And he really, really loves his mom!
