Laughing Yoga Leader

I am a certified Laughing Yoga leader. This uses both laughing & breathing(where the yoga term comes in) to get one's exercise. There are many benefits to this type of exercise including:
lower blood pressure, increased circulation, lowered levels of cortisol (stress hormone). I will be adding to this, as I hope to branch out from my laughing club into leading sessions at conferences and lectures.

I have a book, "The End of Overeating: Taking Control ..." by David Kessler. It REALLY helps with understanding why some of us go out of control (binge) on certain foods.

My Program:
Due to my competitive swimming background I have been totally reckless about normal portion sizes.
Shooting for 400, 500, 700 calories per meal, with about 300 cals for snacks.

I aim for 1600-2100 calories a day.

Aerobic Exercise: swimming laps 2x, water aerobics, 3x a week.

ST exercises: do these!

Personal Information:
I am originally from Hermosa Beach and now live in Northern California. I have one child who is 15 yrs old.

Other Information:
I love reading, could do it all day long. I also love how I feel after exercising, so refreshed.

I'm a lifetime member of Legoland & Sea Life parks. Can't wait to plan trips to Legoland Denmark, Germany, England, Florida, and maybe even Legoland Dubai.

OMG! I cannot live w/o something to read! I have 20+ books picked out from the library. Since I have a smaller car this year, I have to select 5 or 6 and go with that.

I have not allowed myself to ponder which ones get to go and which ones have to stay. My all time Batchawan Bay-cation reading record is one book per day! But alas, they were super easy reading. I was working on a series and they went fast.

I love Prevention Mag but it would not have lasted very long and I'm not sure I coulda done 2x. LOL

I'll have to make a reading list to share with you. Any recommendations on how to pick from my stack?! I'm a bit stressed about it!

I'd never heard of Batchawana Bay either until I got invited up for the cabin week. I wish every week could be that wonderful. We go up, so far, the first week of Sept. every year. The best part? A lot of kids are back in school so the beach is empty! Woohoo!

Hehe, no worries on wondering what BLC#20 stands for. There's all sorts of acronyms and words people use that can throw us if we haven't seen them before (freggies and wogging, for example).

BLC is the Biggest Loser Challenge here on SparkPeople. BLC#20 is open for registration right now to start in Sept and go 12 weeks into December. (I'm not sure when the first was or if there are other variants of it - I'm actually new to it myself.)
