The Journey Continues

My name is Conni. I'm 5'4" and I weigh 155. My goal is 135 (or less, depending on how I feel when I get there). I started out the year at 185, so I've come a long way (baby!), but I got into a rut until I found SparkPeople. Now, we've got the old scale moving again!!!

I have been riding my stationary bike and doing aerobic videos at home. Recently, I figured out that my girls and I can walk to the elementary school just down the street. They can play on the playground while I rollerblade, walk, or jog on the track. But, as you can probably tell, exercise is not hard for me. My achilles heel is craving control. I am a stay-at-home mom of two, and it gets a little lonely. I have to learn to stop using food for company. Sounds simple, huh? I wish it really was!

At any rate, I'm here, I'm motivated, and I'm taking the next step!

My Goals:
I want the energy to keep pace with my little girls. I want the confidence to take them swimming. I want my husband to look at me like he used to. I want to wear all the cute clothes that are gathering dust in the back of the closet.

My Program:
I do exercise videos at home (LOVE Tae Bo!), and ride my stationary bicycle. Since joining SP, I can''t believe what a difference calorie counting makes. I have learned that I don''t have to be hungry, but I do have to quit eating kid food all the time. Besides that, after getting used to healthier fare, mac & cheese tastes terrible.

Thank you for your encouraging comments and great tips! I love SP, it is the best support I have ever received.

You are so close to your goal, that must be very exciting, and you came such a long way! I can't wait to be that close to my goal.

Have a great day!
