I just join a couple of days ago. To be honest I do yet know how to work this website. I am a substitute teacher and a graduate student. This is a career change for me. I have really put on the weight since I started graduate school. I have 69lbs that I want and need to lose. I join this organization after hearing about from two members on television. I hope that this site will help me to get rid of this weight once and for all.

My Goals:
My goal is to lose around 70 lbs and to eat healthy foods.

My Program:
I plan to exercise every day. I will walk 3 miles every other day and go to the gym in between. I will gradually reduce my intake of fuel (food) until I see slow but steady loss of weight. I will post to this website as often as possible. I will support others and hope that they will support me.

Personal Information:
I live in a suburb of New York. We own a house. I work and attend school in the Bronx. I am a husband, stepfather and grandfather. I enjoy reading, playing with our three dogs (babies) and writing. I love to go into the City. Were it up to me we would be living in the Bronx. I am a City boy, period.
There are advantages to living in the burbs but I still prefer the City.

Good hearing from you! I've been doing alot of gardening and cleaning out closets, and the house in general this vacation and found on the "track fitness" browse tab...housework is a category you can account for the amount of time you have been doing light, medium or heavy cleaning, gardening, etc and it will track to your spark exercise points. so all your hard work hasn't been in vain ;o) !
I've hit a plateau although my weigh in day is Tuesday I looked today and the scale hasn't budged...and with all the exercise I was expecting SOMETHING by this point but nada---so I'm discouraged. That plus going out to the only 2 area restaurants nearby with very very few healthy options...I've been eating the same 2 things for lunch since I joined SP on 6/23 and have about had it. I think I'm going to eat before we go and then just have a salad there and bring my own dressing as they only have full calorie salad dressings. Oh well...
So have a good Monday and hope you get to rest a bit this week compared to the busy week you had last. Take care~~ ro

Ohhhhhh Benny thank you so much for the weight lifting gloves you are a star *

I thank you also for the lovely comments you left on my blog about how my weight loss helped my health issues. Sawyou also had acid reflux - not nice. TIP: cut out all white foods, including cereal, milk, pasta, rice, bread (gluten) and biscuits etc etc and eat mainly fruit, nuts, veggies and meat.

try this for a couple of weeks and SEE the difference.
