Mom with a Mission!

I am a mom who is taking too long to lose some baby weight. My son is now a year and half and I haven't lost much weight. I'm ready to get healthy and lose some weight so I can enjoy time with my little one without being exhausted all the time. I'm ready for a lifestyle change and have joined SparkPeople for motivation.

Update 4/17/2012: I'm back on Sparkpeople. After losing 22 lbs last summer- I fell off the wagon during the holiday season and never got back on track. I ended up gaining all of my weight back and am really disappointed in myself. Time to get moving again!

Update 8-16-2011: I've lost a little over 20 lbs in my first 2 months at Sparkpeople. I feel great and enjoy spending time with my family. I'm looking at possibly doing a 5K on October 2nd here in my hometown. I need lots of practicing to do well. I'm still a little nervous about doing it and not quite sure I can do it. I've started doing aerobics classes and step aerobics classes at my gym and I LOVE them! It was what I needed to get things changed up and to make progress! Still too scared to try the cycling classes, but eventually hoping that I can join one.

Update 03/09/2012: I fell off the wagon and I'm back up to 179 lbs!! Time to get back up on the wagon!!!

My name is Megan and I'm from Iowa. I have one living son and one son that passed away when I was 33 weeks pregnant. I'm trying to get healthy so that I can spend a lot of time with my son! I want to be the fun and fit mom, not the lazy and boring mom!

Happy Friday! Control is a tough issue for a lot of us. We can control some of what we do, but we can’t control everything! Keep pushing towards your goals. Even if you do not reach all of them, don’t give up! You can alter your goals or make new ones! Do your best to keep a positive and/or realistic attitude. You are AMAZING and WONDERFUL!
