On the Right Track

After years of off and on dieting, and also off and on Sparkpeople, I've decided to take a new look on losing weight. I've realized that because of the way my mind works, setting true and hard set goals tends to make it more difficult for me to continue working out/eating right.

So this is just a tool I'm using. To help motivate, to help keep track. No real goal besides being healthy, and if I lose weight in the process then that will be awesome. ** EDIT: 4/09/09, I can now ...

So this is just a tool I'm using. To help motivate, to help keep track. No real goal besides being healthy, and if I lose weight in the process then that will be awesome. ** EDIT: 4/09/09, I can now officially set goals without feeling like failure will be detrimental to reaching my goals. YAY for progress!

I have a membership to 24 Hour Fitness, and routinely work out at the Northgate (Seattle) gym, so if you're looking for a buddy and also go to that gym, let me know :)

- GOAL MET 04/18/09 - Walk up 1 flight of stairs without being winded
*Walk up 5 flights of stairs without being winded
*Touch my toes doing a forward fold bend
- GOAL MET 04/11/09 - Jog a full mile without stopping (at 15 min mile)
- GOAL MET 05/09/09Jog a full mile without stopping (at 13 min mile)
*Jog a full mile without stopping (at 11 min mile)

My Program:
Burning at least 2,100 calories a week. I've been working out regularly for 2 weeks with out Spark People, so I'm hoping that I'll be able to keep up working out at least once a day. Now that school has started back up again.

Snacking less! Any good recipes you may have, email them to me! I'm always looking for more variety.
