Sorry it took so long for me to stop back. Congratulations on being able to go back to work. With everything you have going on right now, I can understand why your BP could be elevated a bit. My doctor put me on Norvasc quite some years ago. Then when my insurance changed, he changed it to a generic version. My bp was all over the place until he put me back on the original Norvasc with no substitutions. Now my readings are 135/65 and 140/70 for my last two visits. He is happy with that and so am I. Before that everyone was surprised that I didn't have a stroke because it was so high. I will start a thread on our BP group and see if anyone else has had a problem like this. Stop by and check it out when you get a chance.
I will keep you in prayer for all your spoken and unspoken needs and that things will calm down around you so that some of the stress will be alleviated.
God bless you.
Hugs,
Helen

I was reading our High Blood Pressure Team huddle and saw that you were new so I thought I would stop by, say hi, and welcome you to the team. You will receive lots of support and encouragement from everyone. Just post any prayer requests, questions, comments or suggestions you may have and someone will respond quickly.
You have come to the right place. Take advantage of what Spark has to offer. I want to see you accomplish your goals. Stay focused and keep a positive attitude as this will be a great help to you in your daily life!!! Smile although sometimes that is the hardest, but it really helps!!! And, if nothing else, it makes people wonder what you're up to.
Remember to just take one day at a time on this journey of a lifetime. This journey consists of many small steps, a few speed bumps and pot holes, and a lot of fun. I will be here for you and try to help you on this journey to your goals. YOU can do this!!!
Commit yourself to constant self-improvement the joy is truly in the journey! You are creating a body that is strong and balanced!
Watch your portion control. Be sure to drink plenty of water (8 - 8oz glasses a day) and walk. Water and walking will help you on this journey of weight loss and lowering numbers. Start small if that is all you can do or have time to do and add to it as you are able. Even 5-10 minutes several times a day adds up to bigger numbers and will keep you moving. Invest in a good pedometer (about $10) and see how many steps you currently take each day. Before long you will be adding steps just to see how many you can do and how far you can go. WHAT A GREAT MOTIVATOR!!! YOU can do this!!! I am disabled and this works for me. Take each day one small step at a time they'll add up over time.
You can make a choice. Tell that little voice to cease and desist with those negative thoughts. Introduce positive self-talk into your life today! You are creating a body that is strong and balanced! From your own efforts, you will make a difference, and you will feel good about yourself. You are a unique, beautiful, and rare individual the one and only you! CONGRATULATONS on your 6 pound weight loss!!! WAY TO GO! WOOHOO!!!
It's good to meet and have you with us.
God bless you on your journey to a healthier you. Take each day as it comes and enjoy it to the fullest!!!
God's blessings to you.
Hugs,
Helen

"If you planted hope in a heart today in any hopeless heart,
If someone's burden was lighter because you did your part,
If you caused a laugh that chased a tear away,
If tonight your name is mentioned when someone kneels to pray,
Then your day was well spent."
